Coming up in this special  Brightline construction update. This update looks at the first train to  operate on Brightline’s new Orlando line. The train entered Brightline’s  new line off of the OUC/CSX   Stanton Rail line which is east of the  innovation way exit along State Road 528.   But first I caught it passing near Brightline’s  Orlando Vehicle Maintenance Facility. This was a rail train that was delivering  pieces of rail that are 1600ft long apiece.   The train was being led by a CSX GP38   since it had to operate over CSX trackage  before reaching Brightline’s new line.   On the back of the train are two  leased GP38 locomotives from GATX   which will be operated by contractor  RJ Corman on the various work trains.
