to build a project with GPIO you use the GPIO event button events here in the toolbar if they're not displayed it could be that they're turned off if you turn them off as you can see they disappear from the ribbon but if they are turned on they are available in the ribbon okay so they're turned on let me quickly pull together some assets to use in my project three video files okay I will use this as my menu graphic as you see it's a PNG graphic really this can be anything this this project will be very simple I want to use a button press to travel from this main menu to three possible states so button one will come here button two here button three here and actually we have eight channels of GPIO they are numbered 0 through 7 for a total of 8 so we'll use 0 1 & 2 for my choices and I will use 3 as a return home choose the event button 0 and drag if buttons arrow is pressed come the play
