By replacing the traditional tweeter with a BMR (Balanced Mode Radiator) driver, the Aeromax series offers a radical improvement in audio quality compared to its rivals. Using the BMR shifts the crossover point between tweeter and woofer away from the usual 3kHz, right at the middle of the human ear's most sensitive hearing range, to a less problematic 250Hz. The result is a more natural, immersive and coherent sound. The 4th generation BMR(r) driver construction also delivers a more room-filling sound by using horizontal vibration modes for a much wider sound. hi it's ashley from absoundadvice today i am doing a product review on the cambridge audio aeromax 2 bookshelf speakers so you would have heard in the sound spotlight that i did the product spotlight we played the three tracks it's a very full sound it's uh and again going through the stereo audio file or hi-fi speaker scenarios you know i don't rate thing one to five or one to ten this is definitely a hi-fi speaker it's probably knocking on the door of audio file but i would probably more be comfortable to say this is a hi-fi speaker so quite an it's a v it's one thing i did notice about this when i was listening to them they had a really solid punchy bass the mids were quite well balanced and the highs using this unique tweeter that they're running as you can as you may or may not know they're running a bmr driver at the top there which is a two inch driver it's effectively a balanced
