Cambridge Audio CXC CD Transport Player for Home, No Radio (Black)

I’m Ben from Cambridge Audio. We’re known for an epic range of hi-fi products. I’m here to tell you all about our CXC. A traditional CD player has a built-in DAC or Digital to Analogue Converter, so has an analogue audio output. But the CXC has no analogue or digital-to-analogue components. Instead, it passes a digital audio signal on to an amplifier or DAC using its coaxial or optical connections. This is known as a CD transport. By using a digital output, the audio signal remains in digital form for much longer than a traditional CD player with an analogue output. Because the audio signal remains digital, and is only converted to analogue by the DAC or amp at the very last minute it’s far less susceptible to analogue signal deterioration.
