what I want to show you today is how to get in to your canon 12 by 36 image stabilized binoculars to make repairs or to evaluate a problem I've had these since around 1995 I think I paid about 800 maybe it's around $850 for them great binoculars electronically image stabilized I encountered a problem they quit quit working as far as the image stabilization you can still use them as regular binoculars but the special feature was unavailable so I tried to find service for these so I could get that repaired and what I encountered was that Canon considers these as end of life product and they will not service it there is also a model or a rather aversion to an a version three of these as well the version two or three are serviceable but these original ones they will not even touch nor will many other optic shops I called around and talked to several so I also found on the web on various for
