Product review & video
hi it's me and today I'm taking a look at canons newest kit lens the 18 to 55 millimeter F 3.5 to 5.6 is STM it's still a pretty new lens so prices for it are all over the place wherever you can find them I got mine for a hundred pounds or 150 US dollars this will only fit on canons less expensive aps-c sensor cameras like the 700d 70d 60d all the rebel series in many ways this is still the same old kit lens the 18 to 55 millimeter focal range is okay going from reasonably wide angle to short telephoto the F 3.5 to 5.6 aperture is slow so the lens doesn't let in much light and the aperture gets darker as you zoom in which is a pain if you're doing video work however in its favor it is image stabilized it's small and light and it's not very expensive what sets this apart from the normal Canon kit lens is its new STM autofocus motor in fact the whole focus system of the lens is redesigned
