howdy everyone and today I'm taking a look at the latest iteration of canons popular super zoom lens for aps-c cameras the new USM reversion of the EFS 18 - one hundred and thirty-five millimeter s 3.5 to 5.6 is it features a couple of updates over the older STM eversion this is canon first lens to feature their new nano USM autofocus system which is meant to combine the speed of USM autofocus with the efficiency and control of STM autofocus sounds good to me and this newer lens also adds compatibility for a special motorized zoom unit available separately apart from that today and a change of design there seem to be no other differences from the older STM version from 2012 a lot of people are saying that the image quality is actually the same and it's optical specifications seem to be the same oh it costs a lot more they coming in at about four hundred and thirty pounds or six hundred
