hey there I'm Josh Goldman senior editor with CNET and this is a look at the Canon PowerShot ELPH 510 HS now given its size you'd probably think it's just another ultra compact camera with a 5x zoom but the 510 actually has 12 X zoom starting at a wide 28 millimeters and going to 336 millimeters and that's with optical image stabilization that's pretty incredible considering it's less than an inch thick and then on back you have this nice 3.2 inch touch screen that you use for controlling the camera flipping through your photos and you can tap to focus and shoot if you want to - plus it's customizable so for instance I like to have ISO and white balance handy when I shoot so you just drag them over here to the side and they stay there shooting modes are all geared towards snap shots so no real control over shutter speed or aperture but you do get plenty of other things to pick from incl
