in this quick tip video I want to talk about one of my pet peeves and has to do with what I call chintzy alligator battery clamps you see these on so many little test leads or testers or are even Chargers little cheap chargers and the reason they don't like them is one they're not insulated so when you touch them against each other they spark and short out the other thing is you know the insulation falls off the little solder joints break and fall off they're very hard to service and then of course the springs get weak and these get bent and they don't make good contact so that's a pet peeve now here is the answer take a look at these clamps note that they're fully insulated so if you bang them into each other you're not going to create spark but the nice thing I like about them is the ability to connect wiring to the multiple wires there's these little Spade connectors down inside you
