hello again and welcome to at the computer labs at YouTube channel so in this video I'm going to show you how to correctly make up a cat 6 cable using rj45 pass-through and connectors ok so let's get started so the first thing you are going to need is a correct set of crimps now I have a couple of sets in in my tool set one is the blue set that I'm showing you at the moment and I've used these a lot for cat5e s and these are these sort of the old style plugs with the blank at the end so this type of connector you can see I'll just get this boot off this cat5 cat5e cable but once we've got the boot off all the show what I mean but this cat5 crimp is a blank end so basically the wires push up inside the plastic molding so there's nowhere for the Y's to come out and this is still used nowadays but a 10 now to prefer to use the pass-through ones so this particular one with the blank plugs y
