Celestion CDX1-1445 1" 20-Watt Ferrite Compression Driver

hi my name's ken weller and i'm the product manager here at celestion today i'm going to be telling you about the cdx1445 compression driver this is a lightweight ferrite unit with a one inch exit the unit weighs in at just under one kilogram the cover is made from a rigid glassfield engineering plastic held in place with four stainless steel allen headed bolts we use a petp film diaphragm driven by a 1.4 inch copper clad aluminium voice coil this is held firmly in place with this precision aluminium carrier that clamps the diaphragm to the rear cover between the two we have acoustic foam that minimizes any resonances in that space and prevents unwanted output from the diaphragm reflecting off the inside of the rear cover back out through the front of the diaphragm acoustic foam is also used to greatly reduce cavity resonance is occurring within the magnet and low carbon steel assembly
