Description
Although it is extracted from the same plant (Clove tree), Clove Leaf Essential Oil has a higher eugenol content which gives it a stronger analgesic property than Clove Bud Essential Oil. It is often used to help treat skin irritations and digestive problems, as well as, helping treat bad breath or chronic halitosis. The underside of the Clove tree's leaves are dotted with pockets that secrete odorous components, but the most fragrant parts of the plants are the buds, or cloves. It is these leaves that get harvested during the harvesting of the cloves and turned into the Clove Leaf Essential Oil. With an almost clear yellow color, it has a moderately strong aroma that is spicy, peppery and a bit woody.
