okay welcome to the first part of the presentation on configuring Cisco access servers two models are looking at on the 2509 and the 2511 the only difference is one has eight console ports available and the other one has sixteen so if you have a lab at home you'll have your CPC or your laptop and if you want to connect your routers when you're doing a home lab so I'm not really doing this presentation for commercial purposes but if you do the home lab 4 CCNA or CCMP then you're going to have more than two devices so what a lot of people do is they have a console cable here another console cable here and you can connect you can get a USB hubs that will allow you to plug multiple console cables in but unfortunately as the network becomes more complicated and you're configuring multiple devices you can have to have multiple windows open and lots of cables coming out the back of your PC or
