my name is Michael and I'm going to show you how to replace the screen on a compact force REOC q61 series notebook this particular sub model is the CQ 61 for 11 WM some sub series notebooks came with the CCFL backlit screens and in case you're not familiar with that term that means cold cathode fluorescent light it was just a little tiny fluorescent bulb that lit the screen up from the edge this one has a bad backlight so rather than replace it with a costlier CCFL backlit screen i'm going to replace it with an LED backlit screen and that's going to require a different video cable and I'll show you that shortly as a matter of fact you might want to get a pen and paper handy because I'm going to give you a couple of notes at the bottom of the screen the replacement is a lot easier if you remove the top cover of the computer and if you haven't worked on notebooks before they're pretty str
