today removing the stereo from a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix we're going to start on the driver's side below the front - and there's a panel that's held up by two clips these clips release when you try to pull a panel down one on the left and one on the right next we have two seven millimeter bolts also one on the left and one on the right with these bolts remove grasp the front edge of the lower - panel and pull it from the dash as you pull it clips will release on the left and also on the right belonging to pull this panel forward and lie it towards the floor of the car as well we're going to open the ashtray and remove the ashtray insert this insert has the flip up lid on it and always gets caught behind the dash when reinstalling the front panel so put this in last we're going to lower the steering column I've placed my leg through it to hold the steering column down for the extra quart
