hello and welcome I'm Brian this is my photo show today's topic the nikon f 301 also known as the in 2000 in north america this camera was sold under two names the f 301 pretty much everywhere in the world except north america where it was called the n mm this camera is famous for basically two things the claim to fame is number one this is Nikon's last manual focus consumer SLR and Nikon's first SLR with motorized film advance this camera was introduced in 1985 remained in production until some point in the late 80s when I was basically transformed into a an autofocus camera they took this this chassis and simply added autofocus to it and called it the f5 o1 and you should not buy one of those or Nikon's early autofocus systems were horrendous they lost a lot of market share to Canon because of that so avoiding icons early autofocus cameras buy this one instead it's a manual focus last
