this video we're going to be demonstrating the new line of label applicator based on the apex 4 from Toshiba what we have is a e.x 40 printer standard no modifications with a cutter we've got a modified vacuum pad I come to that in a moment so what makes this different to standard line Ollis machines traditional liner less applicators use a tacky based backing paper like a roll of sellotape this then requires silicon ated rollers silicon ated cutters and ongoing maintenance to prevent the build-up of adhesive this uses a new type of Lila's paper this loyalist material has no tack to the product so it's not sticky at all the adhesive is there but it's only activated by heat so we print material Kuttner material vacuum onto this plate to this vacuum plate is hot which activates the adhesive and then applies to the product so this gives us all the benefits of Lila this without all the mess
