hey this is Tom today I'm gonna show you how to change the CMOS battery so this is how you change the CMOS battery on latitude East 6400 this also applies to let it at East 64 10 okay so first we're gonna remove the screws holding the hard drive then they remove the hard drive after that there's this main screw here holding the cover but I let them leave the battery first okay so we go ahead and remove this main screw no no I had so much trouble okay anyway and then this should just slide off and lift up okay now the CMOS battery can immediately see that CMOS battery is right here okay so we're going to very carefully unplug it I would say use a screwdriver or some something lift it up let's actually see where it's plugged in and kind of pull it out this way come on there you go so now it's plugged in over here so careful about these cables let's zoom in okay okay so here we go now let'
