these replaced a 10 year old pair of speaker craft speakers that were outstanding so good in fact that i didn't think these would make a noticeable difference and i'm very happy to be wrong what sold me and what ultimately is the killer feature is a separate base output that aims up at my lanai roof and it genuinely sounds like i have a subwoofer out there now incredible sound quality solid lows sharp mids and crisp highs i was looking for a set of speakers which i could use on my deck i was hesitant to pay quite high price for this set since i was thinking about buying a separate subwoofer long story short i am very pleased with the sound quality the sound is exceptional outstanding highs and deep bass i even decided not to purchase a sub as a setup i use an old panasonic boombox stored in the basement and a bluetooth 4.0 receiver bought on amazon for 15 connected to it saved a lot of
