Hello Gearfacts FRIENDS, today we're
looking at the somewhat vintage Yamaha PSR-18. It's an FM keyboard with
one small trick up its sleeve... As you can see it's got very dated
appearance. Somebody's written the notes along here in permanent
marker which is very unhelpful, and we've got a bit of a broken key
but we can still listen to some sounds. Switch it on here. There are no lights
or anything, you just go ahead and play. Now the special trick I was telling you about was
an unbelievably simple DSP - the very earliest DSP presented by Yamaha in a home keyboard as far as
I'm aware with only two effects: Reverb and Echo. But they're both really nice effects and you can
set their intensity simply by using this slider. Let's increase that master volume a
little bit and choose some other sounds. They're numbered here from 0 to 99 and you just click the two butt
