this video is going to show how I was able to repair a Dell power adapter the problem with this laptop is that the cable was loose in the back where the power plugs in all the time and even if you did manage to seed it in a certain way that the power would still go to the laptop it would would refuse to charge the battery so the first step to do was to look at the end of the cord and if you look at where the dust is that's where the 19 volts is all that dusty part in the inner part of the circle there that's where the power is that gold pin is nothing more than a signal cable so I cleaned it all out and made it nice and shiny and so it would be better contact and then that gold signal pin is what tells the laptop that you're using a genuine adapter and that it is okay to charge the battery with it aftermarket eBay adapters won't work now here's a magnified view of what a Dell power a do
