[Music] hi i'm scott flowers from cloud ninjas and today we're here to talk about dell poweredge r610 server memory upgrades well for starters there are only 12 slots inside the r610 and the r610 only takes one type of memory ecc registered technic takes unbuffered but we would never recommend it with ecc registered you can load up to 384 gigabytes of ram via 1232 gigs maxing out at 1600 megahertz now the dell spec sheet will tell you that you can only put in 192 gigabytes via 12 16 gigs however that is incorrect they just have never tested out 32 gigs and i can tell you for a fact that they will work and they will work swimmingly so let's go ahead and open her up and learn a little bit more about it but before we open her up let's get our esd gear on [Music] [Applause] [Music] now that we have our esd gear on we are safe to open the machine and not damage the inside so first things fir
