contrast um i have over here a lenovo power adapter uh when we flip it we see again we got 65 watt 20 volts when we look at the jacket specs we see the negative on the outside of the um the adapter jacket and the positive on the inside so we should have about 20 volts again in this case it's 20 volts when you have something so close to the um to the range of the multimeter don't just put it on 20 volts because it's just over line you want to put it a tad higher you can always go down to get more resolution on the display so in this case we'll put on 200 and we're going to plug this adapter this adapter has no led light but so so there's no light to indicate if this thing is working or not again we put the um negative leave on the outside jacket and pass it in from the inside and we got exactly 20 volts so this one is working perfectly as you can see i'm not touching the ground lead on t
