the clips tools today we'll be showing you how to compress a coax connector onto an rg6 cable this project will work with other sized coax cable same connectors as well in this video we'll be using the Eclipse Universal compression tool and a two blade coax cable stripper with integrated cutter first you'll need to pull out enough cable to run the length required for your project making sure the ends are cut flush before stripping the cable make sure the blades are in the rg59 by 6 position place the cable into the stripper so the end of the cable is flush opposite of the numbers printed on the cassette once the cables in firmly rotate the stripper several times to ensure the strip is completed without opening the tool slide the stripper off the end of the cable which will pull off the strip layers next fold the braided shield over the outer jacket and away from the dielectric insulator
