Waketower Ready
The PLMRB85s are designed specifically for waketower use, easily installed by hanging from above. The speaker enclosures are optimized for the task, and built tough to protect from potentially damaging wind and surf.
Woofer Construction
The speakers are constructed with eight-inch poly mica cones and butyl rubber surrounds, cranking out a monster 300 watts peak power, and all driven by a 30-ounce magnet. Poly cones and rubber surrounds both have the added benefit of weather resistance, which is ideal for the marine environment.
Polymer Dome Tweeters
Each speaker boasts a one-inch polymer dome tweeter to deliver sweet highs, kicking the high-end of the frequency range up to 20kHz.
Marine Tough
Each of these speakers is housed in a heavy-duty plastic cabinet with a water-resistant construction. Gold-plated plug terminals are also used, to resist corrosion. In short, bring on the elements, these speakers are ready!
