welcome back to wiring products today we are going to work with heat shrink insulated ring terminals they come in three different wire gauge sizes this is the 22 to 18 gauge size this is the 14 to 16 gauge size and this is our 12 to 10 gauge size they're made out of 10 copper and if you look really really close here you can see that it's sealed all the way around the top that's the heat shrink seal if you take a non-insulated ring terminal same gauge you can see it's the same length where the terminal connection is going to be and this when it heat shrinks down will heat it up it'll shrink down on your wire and it will create a watertight sealant these are 22 to 18 gauge i've got 18 gauge wire strip the jacket off twist the copper insert it into the terminal and crimp it okay now that that is crimped we're going to get our heat gun you have to keep moving it you cannot just keep it stan
