Hi it’s Steve from PartSelect. Today we’re going to show you how to change the surface element on your range and it’s a really easy job and you won’t need any tools, let me show you how we do it. Now to do this repair we will begin by removing the element, so simply lift it up on the backside, pull it away from the terminal block, before we go any further we will check the terminals on that element and if they show any signs of corrosion or over-heating, we should replace both the element and the terminal block and now to install the new element just make sure that the terminals are straight and if you have to bend them just be careful and we’ll take the element, line that up with the terminal block, push the terminals fully in and then we’ll rest the point of the frame into that slot on the drip bowl and your repair is complete.
