all right in this video we're going to be replacing the pitovs that's what these things are actually called that pick up the water to give you the speed on your speedometer obviously these are not doing great so we picked up some of these new ones but i've got a big problem with this even though it has the hole right here where it picks up the water to send it through this tube they never drilled the hole through there so as a kid you know these things would go bad or they would break and i always imagined that this was some complicated technology the idea of something just touching the water telling you how fast you're going but it's actually quite simple let me show you the spit down hangs below the water it as water hits this hole and gets pushed up through this tube it's just an air pressure tube that goes all the way to the speedometer here let me show you so as you blow air into i
