so a client brought me a computer to work on now this is a Dell XPS 18 also called an 1820 and it's kind of like a mix between an all-in-one computer and a tablet because it has these stands that lets it sit up so you can attach a mouse and keyboard wireless or wired and use it as as a regular computer it also has a battery in it so you can close these and use it as a tablet it's a touchscreen so interesting computer this was originally brought to me because the hard drive in it had failed and I've already opened it up replaced the hard drive with a solid-state drive and it's working but I also need to replace the battery in it it the battery works but it only lasts for about 15 minutes and unfortunately there's no service manual for this computer so I kind of had to go in blind basically you take out all the screws around the edge here and this entire back just comes off to do that I n
