[Music] in this video we will be replacing the antenna in this 2001 ford f-150 at some point the factory antenna was replaced with an aftermarket antenna unfortunately the short nature of the aftermarket antenna does not lead to good radio reception inside of the vehicle it was important however to choose a new aftermarket antenna that is not too tall that it hits the top of the garage door so we settled on a 15 inch antenna to remove the old antenna we want to take a pair of pliers and grasp the base of the antenna and rotate it counterclockwise [Applause] our new antenna came with a couple different threaded adapters we can select which one is most suitable for our application or we can see what is currently installed on our vehicle the existing threaded insert fits well with this aftermarket antenna so i will not be using the adapters that are included we can then come in with a adju
