this is the Northbridge cooler from Silence it's a heat sink and fan assembly that you can use to upgrade the stock cooling that comes with the chipset on your motherboard overclocking your computer will cause the Northbridge to run hot and you usually find that the heatsink that comes bundled with your Northbridge struggles to cope with that increase in temperature so getting something like this can be a really good idea especially as the entry level coolers are really really cheap this one was only three pounds it's a very small device this and it's pretty well designed to you shouldn't have any problems getting it inside your case the heatsink is 40 millimeters cubed and there's a 40 mil fan attached to the top now that fan has two connectors you've got the standard three-pin adapter and you've got the 4-pin molex power adapter as well you get a little sachet of thermal compound as w
