Description
Rather than making you choose between a wearable activity tracker and a running watch, Garmin combines both in the new Forerunner 25 to strike a Goldilocks-approved balance in price and metrics. Offering a considerable amount of data for a watch that's considered one of Garmin's entry-level models, the Forerunner 25 gives enough information to enhance your training without weighing you down when you just want to get out and run. As you head out the door and start running, the watch will display your pace, distance, and total time on one or more of its customizable screens, and if you train with a compatible heart rate strap, you'll be able to track your heart rate and calories throughout the run as well. Garmin also includes a built-in accelerometer, so you'll be able to track your distance on indoor tracks and treadmills without requiring you to use a foot pod. The accelerometer joins features like a virtual pacer and personal record notifications in a flood of trickle-down tech from Garmin's pricier models. Once you're done with a workout, the watch can stay in activity tracking mode for up to ten weeks, providing feedback on everything from your sleeping habits to how many steps you take per day.
