How to Replace the Display Panel Before you begin: Remove the base enclosure, battery, and top cover/keyboard. Removal Place two suction cups on the display assembly, one at the top of the panel, besides the webcam, and the other suction cup at the back of the display enclosure. Pull the two suction cups simultaneously to separate the display panel from the adhesive and retention tabs on the display enclosure. CAUTION: When using the suction cups agents should take care not to break the webcam when separating the display panel from the display enclosure. IMPORTANT: A non-metallic flat-bladed tool could be used to separate the lower edge of the display panel from the display enclosure. Grab the tab of the stretch-release tape on the right side of the display panel. Carefully, pull the stretch-release tape as horizontally as possible until the tape clears the display panel assembly.
