hello folks I'm going to replace a cracked LCD screen on this acer aspire 5742 Z first we're going to need the knife vote screwdriver and the laptop so let's get started first we're going to disconnect any power source from this laptop that includes the AC adapter so disconnect AC adapter and the battery but to remove the battery I'm gonna have to unlock the release latch there so you know when it's unlocked when you see the unlock logo there so we're going to go ahead and release the battery and make sure we don't shrunk ourselves potentially and during the process of replacing the LCD screen what we're going to do now is unscrew two screws on the bottom of the LCD screen so we're going to take our knife and remove the wedges first remove the wedges so we can expose the screws and um just make sure that you get that out first of course so once you have that wedge taken out you'll go to
