Goats Rue is a good choice for women who experience low milk production from the start of your breastfeeding journey. It is the herb of choice for women with IGT (Insufficient Glandular Tissue) or have had previous breast surgeries, such as reductions or augmentations. Goat's Rue is a powerful lactation support aid for stimulating milk production and increasing the flow of breast milk. It has been shown to increase milk production by 50% in many cases, and may also stimulate the development of the mammary glands themselves. 2 oz bottle has 84 droppersful and lasts about 2 weeks. SUGGESTED USE: Shake well before use. Use 1 - 2 droppersful 3-4 times daily. A Droppersful = Bulb Squeeze = Approximately 30 drops of liquid tincture. Glass tube will only be partially filled with tincture. Taking the tincture directly under the tongue and avoiding any liquids or foods for at least 15 minutes afterward provides the best results. When taken in large amounts, this herb also helps to reduce blood sugar and is therefore not recommended for use by insulin-dependent diabetics. This herb is safe for use during pregnancy. Dosage suggestions: start with 2 droppersful (squeezes) of the tincture three times a day. Results should be seen within 12-24 hours. If desired results are not achieved with this amount, you may increase the frequency (increase to 4 times a day, and then 5 and so on.) Some moms take two droppersful each time they sit down to nurse or pump. If too much is taken, over-fullness or engorgement may result. If so, simply reduce the amount of tincture used until the right balance is found for you.
