to turn on the recorder you hold down the play/pause button until you see it says on to record a message hit the record button in the corner and a red light will come on to stop the recording hit the stop button underneath the record button and it will stop recording while the device is stopped press the play pause button to listen to your recording to control the volume use the volume buttons located here you can scroll through your recordings by using the up and down buttons on the side of the device you can also scroll through them while you're recording if your device will turn on but it won't record or play check the hold button on the side of the device make sure the hold button is all the way down so that it will not be on hold anymore to switch modes on the device make sure your device is turned on and you're in the stop position then press the volume down or the volume up butto
