hey guys Aaron here and today we're gonna talk about shift keys kind of like this one this is to a Toyota Corolla and it has a chip in it and if you put the spare one in that looks something like this and turn the key it doesn't turn on so question can you set up your vehicle so you don't eat a chip key anymore yes and I'll show you how I took the chip out of the key and I mounted it directly on the ignition now that you may say oh they look stupid well let me let me walk you through what's going on here in this key there's a small radio transmitting chip it's not as easy as crossing wires underneath the steering column you actually have to have a digitally signed signal coming from this key going to the computer in the car so how does the car know that you have the key in there well this ring this black plastic ring right there that is an antenna of sorts and running underneath back in
