hey there it's brian i run turf mechanic in the turf mechanic youtube channel and today i'm going to be talking to you about garden hoses 5 8 inch varieties which are more common and the three-quarter inch varieties which are sometimes found at bonnet garden stores and they cost more to start off understanding how garden hoses work you kind of have to start at the water source this is our hydrant that a lot of our hose irrigation comes off of i disconnected the hose i installed this pressure pressure gauge turned it on full blast and our pressure gauge right here is showing those are four psi increments 56 psi right now anytime you use a hose the water source is pretty important because that's that's where all of your pressure and water flow originate from the hose that you choose is going to be completely dependent on the source of your water now that we know what our starting psi is i
