During the Key West DFT we executed both open
and closed circuit combatant dive training. The mission of the DFT to Key West is to improve
and maintain Company C's combatant dive proficiency. In order to provide the 22nd MEU
with the most capable force possible. During this DFT we started off with closed circuit
team dive operations doing basic navigation. We then progressed to team dives
with the diver propulsion device using advanced navigation techniques. The full mission profile consisted
of a team inserting via CRRC's. Then infiltrating with BPD's and MK25 UBA's. Once at the objective they conducted
reconnaissance and surveillance, and then transmitted those photos and reports
back to the reconnaissance operations center. This is followed by a clandestine
