hello everyone it's uxw bill here once again with a little story about an accidental score you see the other day I took the Caprice Classic station wagon down to an exhaust and muffler shop to have the remainder of the exhaust system work done on it I already had a muffler installed on the car but it didn't completely solve the exhaust leakage problem that we were dealing with there are two sets of flanges on the manifolds as they leave the engine in this car and these connect with a white pipe that in turn directs all the exhaust out through the rest of the exhaust system including the muffler resonator the oxygen sensors catalytic converter and all the piping that links those things well those flanges have bolts that hold them together and time was not kind to these bolts nor was the heat of the engine as they had simply rusted into nothingness and allowed the flanges to separate this
