all right so i'm going to show how to replace the battery on this mid 2014 macbook pro model a1398 this is a 15 inch model so first you're gonna need a pentalobe uh p5 or pentalobe 1.2 screwdriver and then you'll also need a t5 screwdriver so first we're going to remove all the pentalobe screws from the bottom these are star-shaped you want to keep them in order because they are different size shapes and lengths so just keep that in mind the two in the back towards the center are shorter than the rest um the rest of them are um the same but either way it's a good idea to put the same screw back where you got it from so i don't like mixing them around even if they are all the same screws okay so we'll just take all these screws out four towards the back and then you got two on the sides and then you got four more down towards the front okay depending which way you're looking at the mac o
