Description
Built with the VHF/UHF weak signal operator in mind, the IC-9700 is an RF direct sampling receiver for 2m and 70cm. The IF receiver consists of a single, down conversion for 23cm that is between 311 - 371MHz. This design provides a quiet receiver due to Icom's DSP technology. The robust PA provides 100W on 2m, 75W on 70cm, and 10W on 23cm.
Band Management
In addition to band specific memory channels, the IC-9700 allows band specific receiver and transmitter settings. For transmit, users can make adjustments to RF power, TX power Limit, Limit Power, and TX Delay by band. Basic receiver settings, like the Noise Blanker, Noise Reduction, and others can be tweaked by band with a dynamic Notch and Filter setup by band/mode.

Product review & video
hi everyone we're lucky to get a sample of the 9700 sir there's been a huge amount of interest on the web about this new radio which we hope to see very very soon in the UK with me I've got Bob Rodgers who works in our engineering department and what we decided to do is a couple of videos giving a basic introduction to this new SDR radio which joins the semi 300 276 10 as well as the RIT 600 receiver so Bob what you think of these well this is the new generation fantastic performance very good economics excellent user interface but the performance in 97 Honda is really taking everybody by surprise it really does look very similar than 7,300 the layout looks intuitive like 7,300 and it it's almost identical it matches it does make a very good alignment in and it's a little bit more complicated slightly more complicated say dinner there's only 300 in that he's got three different bands wi
