Icom IC-F3001 VHF 5 Watt 16 Channel Radio

today i'd like to show you a couple of slightly unusual transceivers and uh the rigs that i've used on vhf and uhf on the left is an icom icf let's see vhf transceiver and on the right is an icom iecf610 that's a uhf transceiver now these are commercial radios and by commercial i mean they might be used in the marine industry they might be used um for dispatch purposes even as taxi radios but they can also be used for armature band purposes and i'll put in the captions on this video the potential frequency coverage of these two radios but they can easily be programmed onto the two meter vhf band in the case of the 510 which is on the left or the 70 centimeters a meter band in the case of the icon 610 on the right like anything else there are advantages and disadvantages of using these type of radios for amateur radio purposes the main advantage is they're very cheaply available the radi
