Every single day we make experimental films. It’s all hands-on work. A lot of it’s done in the dark because you can’t expose the film to light. So it doesn’t take days or weeks or months, it takes many months or years to be able to develop some of these improvements in chemistry. If you go back to Polaroid’s early days and go back to Dr Land who was the inventor of instant photography, one of his visions was to take this most chemically complicated product and hide all of that complexity from the user. Have the picture come out and just let them marvel at it, let them enjoy it. That’s what you can do with this Generation 2.0 black and white now and that is the magic.
