Description
Introducing iOptron SmartStar-E-R80 Entry Level telescope. Designed with the latest technology the 80 mm lens is crafted with a fluorite based, low dispersion glass that is ground and polished to exact specifications. The precision design is excellent for viewing bright stars, planets and their moons, as well as for bird watching and other land objects. Two eye pieces come standard to allow for flexibility in viewing either a wider field or a single focused object. The SmartStar-E-R80 refractor telescope comes with our patented Alt-Azimuth Mount, a.k.a. The Cube, rated 4-star by Sky and Telescope Magazine. This compact mount design is probably the most functional and flexible unit on the market. Both axis motors are built into a small single unit which is universally compatible with all telescopes using a dove-tail connection. In addition, there are no “dead spots” – so you can point your telescope to ANYWHERE above the horizon, whereas, other mounts block the telescope tube at certain points of rotation. This mount also comes standard with AC connection. The GoToNova hand Controller on each SmartStar telescope is much easier to use than other similar products. The hand controller is more intuitive with menu categories better organized. It also has a larger LCD screen with more lines of content compared with the competition. Using the easy-to-use hand controller and its large LCD screen, you can easily set up your telescope and select where you want to go. The revolutionary GoToNova computerized control system is by far the most technologically advanced automated tracking system available on the market today. With a database of 5,000 celestial objects, including all of the most famous galaxies, nebulae, star clusters, not to mention the planets, you’ll be able to enjoy star gazing with the simple push of a few buttons.

Product review & video
[Music] hello today's video is a review on the IAP Tron smart star II r8e telescope when I was writing my book budget astrophotography I needed a inexpensive telescope that typical people would go out and buy something that wasn't overly pricey wasn't hard to get it was very popular this particular telescope sells on Amazon for just a little over $300 which seems expensive for the size of it but what you may not know is this is a fully motorized go-to telescope so once you set it up and you tell it where to go it actually goes to the target and tracks the target for you so for $300 that's pretty inexpensive this little guy is a 400 millimeter telescope which means the length is 400 millimeters and it has an 80 millimeter objective which lets in plenty of light for a lot of the brighter objects you're going to see now one of the great things about this telescope is it packs up very small
