this how-to video will show you the process for installing an assist bar and securing to the wall studs using two inch wood screws please refer to the printed installation guide for complete installation instructions the assist bar can be installed horizontally vertically or at an angle as long as two of the three mounting screws on both ends of the assist bar are secured into a wall stud using a stud finder locate the wall studs in the desired mounting area using a pencil mark the stud locations making sure the assist bar is level position the assist bar over the stud marks using a pencil mark the hole locations on each of the mounting posts drill pilot holes into the studs with a 3/32 inch drill bit into tile use a 1/4 inch carbide drill bit when installing the assist bar in a shower or bathing area apply a bead of silicone sealant around the back of the mounting post before inserting
