everybody my name is Mike Hagen one of the products I use all the time in my photography is something called the jerk stopper you may be thinking what is the jerk stopper well it's made by tether tools and it's designed to help prevent jerks on the cable from pulling out of your camera now if you've ever shot tethered before you know tethered basically means that you're taking pictures in your cameras going through the tethered system into your laptop or into your desktop system if you ever shot like that in the studio using wires you know that people trip on the wires and that's a major bummer for a variety of reasons number one is it breaks the connection meaning you've lost your connection to the computer and that's a bummer because it takes time to reconnect and get it all working again number two is that the flexing of the the cables can actually damage the USB ports in your camera
