in this video we're gonna be making a 5 volt USB power supply the materials that you will need are any old USB cable a 5 volt wall charger a wire cutter a wire stripper to splice connectors a needlenose plier and a multimeter you will also need two jumper wires start by clipping your USB cable to the desired length then strip the wires to reveal the inner cables the red and black wires will be our power and ground wire the other data wires are not needed so we can just clip them next clip off both jumper wires then insert both wires into the splice connector you could then use the plier to splice the wires together do the same thing for the other wire to test your wire plug it into the wall charger then use the multimeter to see if you are getting 5 volts so there you have a 5 volt USB power supply you can now use it to power your cool projects
