hi I'm Sean Barnett development from Olympus an SLR with a live LCD viewfinder as SLR is becoming more popular people are finding that they miss having a live LCD to frame their shots like they had on our old digicam Olympus has chosen to address this problem in two ways one uses a separate sensor inside the optical viewfinder and the other draws a live image from the capture sensor itself it's a pretty unusual system I'll let de Vecchi 'ls explain a bit about how it works thanks John it really is a pretty unusual system let's take a closer look at the camera a group of mirrors on the left side of the camera body direct the light from the lens over up and back out the optical viewfinder but the last mirror in the series which sits right about here let's 20% of the light pass through to the viewfinder CCD this gives you a live real-time preview on the LCD on the back of the camera withou
