so acer has just wrapped up their global press event and they talked about all sorts of stuff but they also introduced quite a few new chromebooks including this one that we have here in front of us a lot of these new chromebooks aren't going to launch until later on this year or some of them even early next year here in the states but we do have an early version of the chromebook 515 here with us we're going to jump in the box and check it out [Music] okay so before we jump in the box the device that we're unboxing here and i don't even know if we'll be able to review this this is really a pre-production kind of device but uh it is maxed out we're talking uh 11th gen core i7 i think maybe i5 on this one yep sorry i5 but with 256 gigs of storage yep and 16 gigs of ram so we're talking some pretty high end specs here this thing will be available in core i3 models core i5 models right now
